At Lakeshore Performance Camp, we create a space where every child—whether bold, shy, or somewhere in between—can grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression.

This isn’t just about acting.
It’s about helping young people feel seen, heard, and proud of who they are.

Over the course of four weeks, students will:

  • Explore storytelling through theatre games and exercises

  • Learn voice, movement, and performance techniques

  • Build characters and scenes as an ensemble

  • Rehearse a kid-friendly version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream

  • Perform in a final showcase for family and friends

Does my child need prior acting experience?

No. The camp is open to both beginners and children with previous theatre experience.


Is Shakespeare too difficult for this age group?

Not at all. The play is introduced in a fun, age-appropriate, and accessible way through games, storytelling, and active exploration.


What if my child is shy?

That is completely okay. Theatre can be a wonderful way for shy children to build confidence at their own pace in a supportive environment.
